British IPTV respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our customers to do the same. This page explains our role, how to submit a takedown notice and what information a valid notice must include.
Our role
What British IPTV is and is not
We sell access to a connection service. Our customers use that service to reach content distributed by third party providers. Because we do not host the underlying content, we cannot remove it from those providers. However, we can stop directing our service to specific streams that are the subject of a valid takedown notice.
How to file
Submitting a DMCA takedown notice
If you are a copyright owner or an authorised agent and you believe content accessed through our service infringes your rights, please send a written notice to our designated agent (details below). To be valid under section 512(c)(3) of the DMCA, your notice must include all of the following:
Your identification
Your full legal name, postal address, email address and telephone number.
The work you own
A clear description of the copyrighted work or works you claim have been infringed. If multiple works are involved, a representative list is acceptable.
The infringing reference
The specific stream identifier, channel name, EPG entry, screenshot or other detail that lets us locate the alleged infringement on our service.
Good faith statement
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
Accuracy and authority statement
A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Signature
Your physical or electronic signature.
Designated agent
Where to send your notice
Our designated DMCA agent for the receipt of takedown notices is:
We acknowledge valid notices within 72 hours and act on them as soon as reasonably practicable, typically within 7 business days.
Counter notification
If your content was removed by mistake
If you believe your access to a stream was disabled in error or as a result of misidentification, you may submit a counter notification. Please include:
Your physical or electronic signature.
A signed statement identifying yourself as the user whose access was affected.
Identification of the disabled stream.
A clear reference to the stream or channel that was disabled and the location at which it appeared before removal.
Statement under penalty of perjury.
A statement that you have a good faith belief the material was disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
Consent to jurisdiction.
Your name, address, telephone number and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts in your locality and will accept service of process from the original complainant.
Repeat infringers
Repeat infringer policy
In appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion, we will terminate the accounts of customers who are determined to be repeat infringers. We may also suspend access at any time during the investigation of a notice we believe in good faith to be valid.
Misuse
False claims
Submitting a knowingly false or misleading takedown notice is unlawful. Under section 512(f) of the DMCA, anyone who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing or was disabled by mistake may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.
